ESSENTIAL GLOSSARY / THE DEFINITION

Economic Engine

The part of the business that makes the economics work.

FROM THE ORIGINAL BOOK GLOSSARY

Economic Engine is the productive engine made up of the mechanisms through which demand, capacity, prices, market access, production or service delivery, operations, costs, and capital interact to generate and sustain the business’s economic results.

The Economic Engine and the Social Engine are part of the same productive system.

THINK ABOUT IT

How does this business actually earn its money?

Demand, prices, capacity, costs and operations all matter. This engine is essential. RHM does not replace economic management; it connects it with the rest of the business.
