FROM THE ORIGINAL BOOK GLOSSARY
Social Inventory is the contextual capacity of the social system associated with a product, service, or business to accommodate a given density and composition of demand while maintaining the conditions for interaction, access, coexistence, and experience defined for that product or service.
It is not equivalent to physical capacity, social intensity, or a classification of people. It can vary with demand composition, space, time, facilitation, and the configuration of products or services.
THINK ABOUT IT
Can we welcome this mix of people without losing the experience we promise?
A hostel may have free beds but limited shared space or time for interaction. Social Inventory asks about that real context. It is never a score that ranks people.
